The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officially invited Pakistan to play a series in India in December this year.

Confirming the latest development, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan says BCCI Chief Shashank Manohar called him up on Friday evening to inform Indian Government have given clearance for India-Pak series. The only condition BCCI placed before PCB is that the series should be held in India, not UAE.

BCCI assured to PCB that huge security cover will be provided to Pakistan Team touring India. Matches were most likely to be held at places like Kolkata and Mohali where there will be no disruptions from political parties. Lastly, The Indian Cricket Board gave an assurance that it would make sure PCB don't incur any losses for playing their home series in India.

PCB, on the other hand, is firm on playing Ind-Pak series in UAE. A final call will be taken after consulting Pakistan Prime Minister.

Last year, BCCI and PCB signed an MoU agreeing to play six series against each other between the period 2015 to 2023. As per the contract, Pakistan has to host the first series in December in UAE.
