Facebook pays for letting underage girl to sign up

Facebook's guidelines state no-one under 13 is allowed a profile on the site. The father of a minor girl had sued Facebook for failing to enforce its age restriction policy.
His daughter who is a minor created fake account in facebook and uploaded sexual pictures of her to contact men. The father of the girl approached court and sued facebook. A trial had been due to begin last week after four years of legal wrangles.Facebook now did an out of court settlement with the father of a girl and accepted to play some hefty amount.
The father's lawyers claimed Facebook was "negligent" and it has no system in place to stop users from misrepresenting their ages. They further mentioned that child exposing herself to sexual predators or other grave risks affecting her emotional and physical health
