Here's a good news and a bad one. First the good news. The Facebook is joining the fight against Covid 19. It has created a survey to identify Covid 19 hotspots and help the health authorities. This newly developed survey will help map the corona virus symptoms country by country. But, the bad news is that your health profile and medical condition is now a public property and that threatens your much-valued privacy.
The Facebook has joined hands with Carnegie Mellon University to develop this survey and over one million people have taken part in the survey. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the survey would be extended to the whole world soon. He said that the FB could be of great help to the health authorities world over as it has global membership and can do accurate sampling using proven statistical methods. The FB has over two billion subscribers worldwide.
