Facts behind Rs 1.44 cr Google Job for 16-Year-Old

A 16-Year-Old Chandigarh Boy hogged the limelight all of a sudden after local and national media gave extensive coverage to news that he was hired by Google by offering Rs 1.44 crore per annum for Graphic Designing.
On July 29th, Department of Public Relations in Chandigarh issued a press release stating Harshit Sharma who completed XII Standard from Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS) recently bagged a high-paying Google Job. Subsequently, Media Houses published articles with headlines '12th Class Govt School Boy/16-Year-Old/Chandigarh creates history'.
However, Google issued a clarification that any such offer wasn't made on behalf of the firm to the Chandigarh Teen. Soon, The Chandigarh Administration realized something was wrong and ordered for a probe.
School Principal of GMSSS Indra Beniwal didn't see any proof that Google hired the Teen before making such an announcement. 'The Boy had informed Me that Google offered him a Job but he didn't sent the offer letter to Me citing he was travelling. Though he is an average student, He is pretty good when it comes to practicals,' she says.
Whereas, Harshit Sharma claimed he got the offer after submitting the posters designed by him through 'Google Link'.
