Failed to protect Interests: Teachers Unions to PRC Committee!

Twists are not new for the protest row triggered by the PRC recommendations announced by the Andhra Pradesh government. The issue took a major turn after the Joint Action Committee leaders called off the protest saying that the demands raised by them were met in the meeting with the government.
Another twist erupted in the row, with the representatives of the teachers' unions have withdrawn themselves from the JAC leaders. Alleging that the JAC leaders have made secret agreements, the representatives announced their decision to take forward the protest.
Making their stand clear that they will not take a backstep, the representatives of various teachers' unions said that they will not continue with the JAC. Having said that, the letter announcing their resignation was sent to the PRC Sadhana Samithi Steering Committee.
Keeping up the fight against the PRC issue, PRC Steering Committee members Ch. Josephe Sudheer Babu, G. Hrudaya Raju, and K.S.S. Prasad signed the resignation letter and sent it to the PRC committee members.
In the letter, the teachers' unions representatives have expressed their concerns over the way the talks were held. They have alleged that the talks did not go as planned. They also raised concerns over the meeting not staying strong on the main demands of fitment, HRA, Gratuity, Additional quantum pension, and CPS cancellation.
The representatives also found fault with the advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy telling the media that the teachers have also agreed to the talks and gave their nod to cancel the protests.
Saying that teachers, contract employees, outsourcing employees and others made the Chalo Vijayawada rally successful to fight for their rights, the members said, the PRC members behaved in a contrasting way.
Alleging that the interests of lakhs of employees were not considered by the PRC members and the issues were not discussed in the meeting with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the teachers' unions have made themselves distant from the PRC committee.
Concluding the resignation letter, the representatives said that they are resigning from the PRC Sadhana Samithi Steering Committee as the body had failed to protect the interests of the employees and teachers.
