Farm Loan Waiver costs Rs 12,598 crore

The Farm Loan Waiver poll sop announced by TRS Party could cost the state exchequer to the tune of Rs 12,598 crore.
After taking charge as Chief Minister, KCR announced that Farm Loan Waiver will apply for only the loans taken during the period 2013-14. As there is huge criticism from all the sections for backtracking from the promise of Rs 1 lakh loan waiver for the period of 5 Years, TRS Government took a U-Turn now.
Farm Loan Waiver (2013-14): Rs 7,000 crore, Benefits 16.68 lakh people.
Farm Loan Waiver (Previous Loan): Rs 4,150 crore, Benefits 12.66 lakh people.
Gold Loans: Rs 1,448 crore.
