Farmers defeated Arrogance with Satyagraha

To announce the three controversial Agriculture bills is one of the biggest wrong decisions the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) took during its tenure. With the farmers protesting at the Delhi border showing no sign of giving up on their protest, the Union government came to a conclusion that it cannot go forward on the bills and announced the repeal of the bills.
Responding to the good news on the repeal of the bills, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed his happiness on this and opined that the farmers got a victory against the injustice. In a tweet made in Hindi, Rahul Gandhi maintained that arrogance bowed down to satyagrah.
In the same tweet, Rahul Gandhi had shared an old video clipping on him saying that the government will repeal the farm bills. The old clip dates back to the 14th of January. "Mark my words, the Govt will have to take back the anti-farm laws," Raul Gandhi said in the old video he shared on his official Twitter handle.
Ever since the BJP announced the three controversial bills, Congress has been opposing the bills and supported the farmers who were protesting against the bills. In several instances, the opposition Congress party had extended support for the farmers and accused the BJP of anti-farmer ideology.
After the decision of repealing the three agriculture bills was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the farmers who have been protesting at the border in Delhi against the bills have celebrated the decision by distributing sweets. However, the farmers said they would not stop the protest against the Union government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the countrymen on November 19th had announced that the Agriculture bills will be rolled back. Saying that the bills were brought for the benefit of the farmers, Narendra Modi said they will look for the procedure to take back the bills.
The Farming Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, 2020 are the three controversial bills announced by BJP.
