The farmers and members of the farmer unions protesting against the newly-enacted union government's controversial agricultural bill trio uniquely displayed their anger.

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing Mann ki Baat, farmers banged thalis and raised slogans against the program which is the last edition of this year’s Mann ki Baat.

The farmers raised slogans against the 'Mann ki Baat' program in "Singhu Border" in Delhi, Faridkot in Punjab. The farmers raised slogans in Rohtak in Haryana, ruled by the BJP.

It has to be noted that, earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested the public in the country to bang thalis as a bid to felicitate the frontline warriors who are working hard in treating the Covid-19 patients.

The farmers now showed their anger against the bills introduced by the Modi government in how own way by banging thalis.

The Thali Bajaao protest was a pre-planned one. On last Sunday, Swaraj India chief Yogendra Yadav urged the farmers to bang thalis against the bills when PM Modi will address the Mann ki Baat program, reports claimed.

The farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and some parts of Uttar Pradesh have been protesting against the bills since the 26th of November. Series of talks between the Union government and farmer unions didn’t help in getting things under control.

Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020, are the bills introduced by the union government.
