Farmers Show Their Anger by Dropping Paddy Outside MPs Residence

Seeing the Paddy farmers facing issues with the non-procurement and the Union government led by Bharatiya Janata Party making its stand clear that it cannot procure paddy from the farmers. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led by party chief KCR had started an intense fight against the BJP. The protest had reached the national capital Delhi.

Besides KCR, a few Cabinet Ministers, MPs, and other leaders joined the force in protesting against the Centre. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had also supported the protest and stood in solidarity with the party.

Looks like the farmers in Telangana have also joined the protest. The Telangana wing of the BJP is facing the heat as the farmers are raising slogans against the party and leaders for causing trouble for them. They are alleging that the T-BJP leaders have misled them.

To show their protest against the BJP leaders, a few farmers have reached the residence of Nizamabad BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind and dumped the paddy they have cultivated. They said that believing in the words of the BJP leaders, they cultivated the paddy and no one is ready to procure the crop.

The angry farmers reached the MP's house in big numbers and staged a protest. To show their anger, they dumped the paddy in front of his house. They demanded that the Union government should procure the paddy from them as assured by the T-BJP leaders.

BJP Leaders and TRS leaders are at loggerhead over the paddy procurement. The Telangana BJP leaders have persuaded the farmers to cultivate paddy saying that the Centre will procure it. Later the BJP leaders started a new demand that the TRS leaders should procure the paddy from the farmers.

This made the TRS start a massive agitation against the Union government in this regard. The protest call was given by the party chief and Chief Minister KCR, which was well received by the party cadre and leaders.

Addressing the media, the Telangana Chief Minister said that they are giving a 24-hour deadline for the Union government to procure the paddy. Before the Centre could take any action against this, the farmers took charge.
