Fidel Castro is no more

The tragic news was officially announced by Raul Castro (Fidel's Brother) on State Television last night. 'The commander in chief of the Cuban revolution died at 22:29 hours this evening,' he said and ended his announcement by raising the slogan, 'Towards Victory, Always!'.
The Cuban Revolutionary Leader was born on August 13th, 1926 in the south-eastern Oriente Province of Cuba. He was imprisoned in 1953 for revolt against Batista regime and got released on 1955. He began guerrilla war against the Government in 1956 along with Che Guevara. He became PM of Cuba after defeating Batista in 1959. Mr.Castro became the president of Cuba's National Assembly in 1976.
Fidel Castro ruled Cuba for close to 50 years as one-party state. He survived many assassination plots to emerge as longest serving non-royal leader of 20th Century. He handed over power to his brother Raul Castro temporarily in 2006 due to health issues. It was in 2008, Raul Castro took over the reins from him officially and currently serving as Cuba President.
Fidel Castro retired from politics few years ago. Once in a while, He used to release a newspaper column. The last public appearance of his was in April this year when he gave addressed people on the last day of Cuba's Communist Party congress. He claimed the Communist policies are still valid and the people of his country will be victorious.
From the past decade, Fidel Castro is suffering from age related ailments. The death has come in this form for the celebrated Revolutionary Leader. Lal Salam Castro!!
