Film Industry's Dilemma: Jagan Or KCR?

The film industry is in a fix on how to deal with both the Chief Ministers in the Telugu states. By temperament and association, the film industry is largely pro-TDP. Several film personalities became MPs, MLAs and chairpersons of various government boards and corporations during the TDP rule. They enjoyed a fairly easy relationship with Chandrababu Naidu and his party.
However, to their discomfiture, the governments in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are in the hands of the parties that they had cold-shouldered all these days. Though they have somehow struck an equation with the TRS, largely thanks to KTR and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, AP is still a tough nut to crack. To add to their woes, most of the film personalities are from Andhra region and want to be on friendly terms with Jagan in the changed circumstances. But, they are afraid of angering both KCR and Chandrababu. At the same time, they want to be pally with Jagan too.
During the recent shutdown, the film personalities had tried to balance the situation by donating equal amounts to the CM Relief funds in both the states. They have now realised that Jagan was walking the extra mile to bail out the film industry. His steps have boosted the confidence of the film industry biggies. His single window system and cost-free locations are also appealing to the film industry. The latest is that they are meeting Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday to thank him for all that he is doing for the film industry.
