Film Nagar building collapse, KTR reacts seriously!

An under construction building collapsed at the Film Nagar Cultural Club Gate 1 on Sunday. In this incident, Two Construction workers died and several other got injured.
Actually, A Portico was constructed earlier. As it wasn't good enough, A slab was laid on the old portico and it collapsed at once. Workers trapped under the concrete were rescued and shifted to hospital.
Telangana Municipal Minister K Taraka Rama Rao reacted seriously on this incident. He directed Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy and City Police Commissioner Mahendra Reddy to take appropriate action against the people responsible for the tragedy. He immediately suspended Town Planning Officer.
Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia was announced for the deceased. Once the slab was laid, Construction Work shouldn't be taken up at least for 10 days. In this case, They kept working within 24 hours and even the quality of materials used were't good. Based on the complaint registered by GHMC Zonal Commissioner Gourav Uppal, Cases were booked against Owner Kondal Rao, Engineer Sudhakar Rao, Cultural Society President KS Rama Rao & Secretary Rajeswar Rao.
