Finance Minister to Propose a Bill in Lower House
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Dec 2019 5:34 AM GMTUnion Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will table the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(2nd Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Lower house, Lok Sabha today. The bill was earlier cleared by the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Two more bills will be proposed by HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will move Central Sanskrit Universities Bill and Anti-Maritime Piracy bill respectively.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will propose The Constitution(One Hundred and Twenty-sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Rajya Sabha. One more bill will be moved by Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda, The Constitution(Scheduled Tribes) Order(Second Amendment) Bill, 2019.
With the unrest in north-eastern states and Law & Order situation, Congress MPs Adhir Ranjan Chaudary, K Suresh and Gaurav Gogoi have given Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha.
