Cut Those Hands Pointed Towards Modi

Bihar BJP Chief & MP Nithyanand Rai stirred a controversy by offering a call to chop off the hands/fingers pointing at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While addressing a party meeting in Patna, He said: 'Narendra Modi is a representative of poor. He has become the Prime Minister of the country despite being born in a poor family. He took up the challenge to wiping out black money. People will be able to get the benefits of Demonetisation and GST in future. If anyone raises fingers or hands towards Modi, We should either break those fingers or chop off the hands'.

After receiving backlash for what he commented, Nithyanand Rai says he was misinterpreted when he just quoted the proverb in Hindi. He defended himself by saying breaking fingers and chopping off hands are proverbs in Hindi, that are generally used to intimidate opponents. 'I apologise if my comment hurt anyone,' he concludes.

In August this year, Nithyanand Rai made headlines for saying sound of Bharat Mata Ki Jai should replace Azaan from Mosques and Church Bells. He took an u-turn in similar manner after facing criticism.
