Temple Tragedy: 92 People Killed, 200 Injured!

At least 92 people were killed and around 200 others suffered injuries in the fire mishap at the Puttingal Devi temple in Paravur of Kollam district, Kerala. The tragedy took place at 3.30 AM on Sunday. Officials fear the count of casualties would go up.
The mishap happened due to the burst of fire crackers and impact was felt by the people in 2 km radius.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy commented the tragedy is unprecedented. He cancelled his election campaign to look after the rescue work at the temple. State Government is likely to order for a high-level probe.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to reach the Puttingal Devi temple by 3.30 PM.
