First Case of Covid New Sub Variant Reported in India!

Looks like the Covid will not spare us as more and more variants are coming out. Adding more fears about the virus, a new variant was detected and it has reached India reportedly. The first case of the variant is said to have been registered in India. Maharashtra’s Mumbai registered the first case of the new variant.
As per the information, the new variant which was named XE was first detected in the United Kingdom. Now the same variant has made its way into India as Mumbai had reported the case.
Mumbai civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had reportedly said that the first case of XE variant was reported from the city besides a case of Kappa variant.
Though there is not much information on the variant type, it is believed that it comes with a slightly high spreading rate compared to the other variants. The mutation between the BA1 and BA2 variants is said to be the cause of the emergence of the new variant.
Talking about the symptoms of the sub-variant, symptoms are likely to be the same as the Omicron. However, the experts said, it needs some more time to understand the sub-variant better.
