Watch: First-ever Saree flash mob

Flash mobs are always exciting to watch as they give sudden entertainment. But a flash mob in a saree sounds quite interesting and here it is.On Tuesday, 50 ladies draped in sarees came together and performed as a flash mob. The event was organized in one of the most famous malls in Delhi to prove the essence of Sarees.

The ladies who appeared at their best in colorful sarees rocked to the beats of Bollywood chartbusters such as London Thumakda, Sari Ke Fall Sa, Girls Like To Swing, Indiawaale, and Galla Goodiyaan.

It was an initiative by Devditi, an organisation that started a campaign to encourage women to wear sarees. The organisation works for women empowerment and towards reviving the trend of saree-wearing in urban society

The aim of the mob was to revive the tradition of draping sarees and audiences enjoyed the dance show. For beginers flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place and perform an unusual and seemingly pointless act for a brief time before quickly dispersing.
