As one more development in vaccination drive row, five doctors have tested positive for the Coronavirus pandemic, a week after they were administered with the first dose of the vaccine.
The shocking incident took place in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district. The doctors rendering their services at the Institute of Medical Sciences. They were given the vaccines, the past week.
With the doctors coming in contact with the pandemic, the fears surrounding the efficiency offered by the Made in India vaccines surfaced once again.
Dr. MC Ravi, District Health Officer, Chamrajanagara, said that the vaccines being used in India will start working effectively after the second dose only. He maintained that, even after taking the Covid-19 vaccine first dose, the precautions like wearing a face mask and maintaining physical distancing should be followed.
