Five Surveys, 1 TV Survey ... Still Lagadapati Is Unsure

Lagadapati Rajagopal's credibility as a pollster and a psephalogist took a beating with his prediction of the Telangana polling outcome. None of his predictions, both the pre-poll as well as the post-poll, were anywhere near the actual results. He had even named some independent candidates are winners. None of them managed to win. So, the people and the parties have stopped believing in his assessments.
This time around, Lagadapati does not want to make a mistake. He wants to be doubly sure about his predictions. Also, he wants to regain his lost credibility. So, he got not one, but five survey teams to do the surveys for AP Assembly polls independently of each other. The teams were from outside the state. He is also said to have got a TV channel to do another survey. He is said to be studying all these and is trying to arrive at an accurate result.
But, despite all these exercises, he cannot reveal the results of his survey till May 19 as the poll code banning all kinds of surveys would be in force till then. Until then, it’s nail-biting time for Lagadapati Rajagopal.
