Five Telugus in Billionnaires' List

Five Telugus from Hyderabad have carved out a niche for themselves in amassing riches through sheer dint of their hard work and business acumen. According to the latest Forbes List, the number of billionaires in the country has gone up by 300 per cent in the last 15 years. Five Hyderabadis found place in this exclusive list.
Lanco Infotech chairperson Lagadapati Madhusudhan Rao's assets are pegged at 2.3 billion dollrs. He is the brother of former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal. Murali Divi, who is the chairperson of the Divis Laboratories, is in the second position with assets worth Rs 2.1 billion dollars. Pharma giant K Anjireddy of the Reddy's Labs is in the third position. His assets are pegged at 1.5 billion dollars. GVK's GV Krishna Reddy is in the fourth position. Dubbed Infra king, he owns 1.3 billion dollars. GVK has been undertaking construction of airports, flyovers, highways and other mega infra projects. GMC Infra's Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao with 1 billion dollars worth is in the fifth Hyderabadi to not up one billion dollars.
Interestingly, two of the five Hyderabadi billionaires are from the infra sector while the other two are from the pharma sector. One of them is from the infotech sector. These three sectors appear to be sunrise sectors in the state.
