In the wake of TDP preferring calling off alliance with BJP, Daggubati Purandeswari is likely to contest from Vijayawada Lok Sabha segment on the National party ticket. She already made all the arrangements to file her nomination in Vijayawada on Saturday.
The talks between TDP and BJP over alliance were not fruitful. While TDP demands to return 7 Assembly seats offered to it, BJP agreed to give away only 2 of them. Hence, Chandrababu Naidu might officially announce that Seemandhra TDP contests alone in 2014 Polls.
These developments gave an opportunity for Purandeswari to contest from Vijayawada. Earlier, She was offered Rajampet Lok Sabha ticket which is one of the constituencies allotted to BJP by TDP. However, The former Union Minister isn't pleased with this proposal as YSR Congress is too strong in this segment where Muslim voters (40%) are huge in number.
