Former home minister to become AP assembly speaker

Since many senior leaders could not make it to the cabinet, the speaker's post has become the next best option.
TDP president and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu will soon be taking a decision on the posts of speaker and deputy speaker. It is reliably learnt that former minister Kodela Siva Prasada Rao will be named as Speaker and legislator Kaluva Srinivas from Rayadurg in Anantapur district, Deputy Speaker.
Since the CM and council chairman A. Chakrapani belong to Rayalaseema, Mr Naidu decided to give the SpeakerÂ’s post to the coastal region.
Kodela is currently representing Sattenapalli. Recently he shifted to the new constituency from his bastion Narasarao pet . He was earlier served as home minister in the NTR cabinet and he is the party's backbone in Guntur district.The other option for the Speaker, also from Guntur district, is Mr Dhulipalla Narendra
