Former Minister Atchannaidu To Be Announced As TDP President!
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Sep 2020 8:18 AM GMTThe opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) has reportedly ended the demand to appoint a new boss for the party by selecting a senior leader and former Minister as the new chief.
Some media reports claim that former Minister, TDP deputy floor leader Kinjarapu Atchannaidu was elected as the new party President by Chandrababu reportedly.
It has been widely reported that Atchannaidu will be announced as the President officially on the 27th of this month. The same day, TDP Chief Chandrababu is likely to announce the new committees.
These media reports came in the wake of TDP leaders requesting Chandrababu to appoint new Presidents for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well.
If this news appears to be true Atchannaidu will replace another senior TDP Leader Kala Venkat Rao, who is currently serving as the TDP President for Andhra Pradesh.
The speculations of the change in party president surfaced for the first time after the party lost the elections cheaply by winning a mere 23 seats out of the 175 Assembly constituencies.
It is believed that TDP selected Atchannaidu as the new President as the party who is associated with the party for a long period can make the party strengthen again.
