SN Appointed As AP PCC President
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Jan 2020 4:20 PM GMTShailaja Nath was appointed as the President of Andhra Pradesh PCC. While Tulasi Reddy received promotion as Working President of the AP Unit, Sheik Mastan Vali too was chosen for this respectable post.
Post the bifurcation of United AP, Congress Party kept losing all the well-established leaders one after the other. Raghuveera Reddy was preferred as the PCC Chief at that stage because of his seniority and loyalty to the party. He, however, failed to revive the party fortunes in the past five years. Congress hadn't even made its presence felt in either 2014 or 2019 elections.
Few days ago, Raghuveera Reddy was spotted doing agriculture works in the farm land owned by him. May be, The National Party thought its high time to offer the reins of the party to the next generation leaders for revival.
Shailaja Nath served as the Minister during Kiran Kumar Reddy's regime. He even played crucial role in the episode of AP Government passing a resolution against bifurcation. That is why a huge price was paid by him after the separation of AP and Telangana.
