Former Mumbai Police Commissioner sends shocking waves with his letter to CM
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 March 2021 10:42 AM GMTParam Bir Singh, who was sacked as the Mumbai Police boss following the Mukesh Ambani security scare has sent shocking waves across the nation with his letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray
Former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh leveled serious allegations against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. In the letter, he claimed that the Home Minister wanted the cops to collect 100 crores every month from the bars and hotels in the state.
In the letter, the former Police Boss opined that it was the Home Minister of Maharashtra who had appointed Sachin Waze, who was arrested in connection with the Mukesh Ambani House scare case.
The sensational latter has created a sensation across the state and resulted in a rift in the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi alliance. Some leaders want to sack Home Minister from the post for his allegations, while a section of leaders is in favour of him, reports claimed.
NCP President Sharad Pawar responded to the allegations and called for an in-depth probe. Calling the allegations serious, Mr. Pawar stressed the need for a probe. Adding further, he said, Uddhav Thackeray will take a call on this.
On the other hand, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh rubbished all the allegations against him and said he will sue the former Mumbai Police boss for defamation for leveling baseless allegations,
These allegations gave the BJP a chance to target the alliance government and to pressurize the ruling alliance to sack Anil Deshmukh from his post on the grounds of the allegations.
Amid this, Shiv Sena's top leaders and NCP top leaders are expected to meet for a crucial meeting on Monday to discuss various issues in this regard. It is said that the leaders will decide whether or not to remove Mr. Deshmukh from his post.
