Media reports claimed that some more leaders from the Congress will leave the party for the saffron party. Former Nirmal MLA A Maheshwar Reddy is also said to have plans to shift his loyalties.
A Maheshwar Reddy is one of the strong leaders of the grand old Congress party in the combined Adilabad region. He has once served as the DCC president in the past.
Amid growing speculations of A Maheshwar Reddy leaving the Congress party, he surprised everyone by reaching the Gandhi Bhavan to meet AICC Telangana in-charge Manickam Tagore.
When asked about news of shifting the party, A Maheshwar Reddy rubbished the rumours and said he is not shifting his party and urged everyone to not believe in such fake reports.
