Andhra Pradesh Added 10,175 Fresh Cases In A Single Day

Despite many safety measures and precautions taken by the government, the fresh Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh continue to surge daily. For more than one week, the state has been reporting over 10,000 fresh cases daily.
In the last 24 hours, 72,229 samples were tested in the state and 10175 fresh cases were detected which takes the total infections in the state to 5,76,687. So far, 43,80,991 samples have been tested in the state.
The fatalities in connection with the virus decreased in the state as 68 people succumbed to the contagious disease. 4702 patients have died due to respiratory disease in the state so far.
On a brighter note, as many as 10,040 patients were declared cured of the virus in a single day. With this, the total recoveries in the state zoomed to 4,35,647. There are 97,338 active cases in the state.
East Godavari which is the worst-affected region in the state reported 1412 cases out of the fresh cases followed by Prakasham(1386), West Godavari(1139), Chittor(968), and Guntur(838).
East Godavari, Kurnool, and Anantapur regions turned out as the worst-hit regions in the state with 72,497, 50,182, and 47,548 positive cases respectively.
