From Front-Bencher Sujana Choudary Becomes A Back-Bencher
X
TDP-turned-BJP Rajya Sabha MPs Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh are now coming to realise that changing the parties could also have its side effects. This may have helped them stave off the IT and ED cases, but it could also mean loss of importance. They are now coming to realise this in the most telling way.

Till now, as leaders of the TDP Rajya Sabha MPs, they were allocated seats in the first and second rows of Parliament. This gave them high visibility and lot of importance. But, now that they have joined the BJP, they can no longer sit in the first and the second row. As the BJP MPs, they will be allocated seats at the back. In fact, they are now being allocated seats in the last row. The first two rows are allocated to parliamentary party leaders, seniors and the ministers. These most prominent TDP MPs will now become BJP's insignificant back-bencher. This is a new experience for these MPs as they have all along been accustomed to sit in the front rows.

Sujana Choudary, CM Ramesh, TG Venkatesh and Garikapati have joined the BJP recently in the presence of BJP's working president JP Nadda. They merged their parliamentary party into the BJP.
