Telugu Man Is Now DRDO Chairman

Aerospace Scientist G Satheesh Reddy was appointed as the new chairman of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO). He will also be the Secretary in the Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D).
S Christopher retired as DRDO Chairman in June this year. G Satheesh Reddy succeeds him and his term will last for a period of two years.
G Satheesh Reddy has be the Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. His expertise in the research & development in missile systems and contributions towards advancement of aerospace technologies made him what he is Today.
Mr.Reddy, a navigation scientist, got graduated in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the JNTU in AP. He is an honorary fellow of Royal Institute of Navigation (London), Royal Aeronautical Society (UK), Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK), Associate Fellow of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (US), Computer Society of India and Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering (FNAE) and Aeronautical Society of India.
Satheesh Reddy was a recipient of prestigious Indian Science Congress Association Homi J Bhabha Memorial award. He created history by being the first defence scientist working in India to receive the Silver Medal of Royal Aeronautical Society (UK). He was also presented the first IEI (India) and IEEE (USA) joint award for Engineering Excellence.
