Is Gaddar Helping KCR Win From Gajwel?

Are KCR's arch rivals inadvertently helping the very man they despice most? It appears so. Gaddar, the Leftist balladeer, is now all set to contest from Gajwel. He might take on KCR in the latter's burrough. If this happens, he will only be helping KCR because he would eat into the votes of formidable Kutami candidate Vanteru Pratap Reddy.
Vanteru Pratap Reddy, who was with the TDP last time, has lost by just 16000 votes. It was mainly because Congress candidate, Narsi Reddy, withdrew from the contest in KCR's favour at the last moment. But this time around, Pratap Reddy is in Congress and Narsi Reddy too is back into the Congress fold from the KCR stable. If the Congress and TDP votes were added up, KCR would have lost even in 2014. Now with the anti-incumbancy baggage, KCR is not finding things easy. Now with Narsi Reddy and Pratap Reddy on one side, it's not going to be a cake-walk for KCR.
Gaddar has now thrown his hat into the ring. He had met Rahul Gandhi recently and later announced that he would be an independent candidate. He has also met state election commissioner Rajat Kumar. Now, he says he would contest from Gajwel as an independent. Now the question is who is behind Gaddar? By being in the fray, he would only split votes and would help KCR. This would be a big disadvantage for the Maha Kutami. If either Pratap Reddy or Gaddar withdraws from the contest, then KCR would have a really tough time. Pratap Reddy has already spent huge amounts in the constituency. Will he agree to withdraw in favour of Gaddar? Not likely, say those in the know of things.
