Ganguly denies being in race for Top Post
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Jan 2017 5:55 AM GMTSupreme Court has sacked BCCI President Anurag Thakur for allegedly not implementing Justice Lodha Committee reforms. A committee has been appointed to replace Mr. Thakur as the BCCI Chief.
Speculations were abuzz since then that Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly is the front runner to be the next BCCI President. However, The Former Indian Skipper condemned the speculations
Ganguly made it clear he doesn't qualify for the post of BCCI Chief citing he just completed one year as CAB President. He expressed the feeling that involving his name is completely unnecessary. 'I'm not in race for BCCI President post,' he confirms.
When quizzed if he willing to implement Lodha Panel reforms, Ganguly said CAB has no other option but to obey the Supreme Court order.
