BCCI Working On All Possible Options To Stage IPL

After the International cricket council decided to buy more time to take a call on the T20 World Cup this year in its meeting on Wednesday, the BCCI has made its own move.

The BCCI is going ahead with it's plan to stage the thirteenth edition of IPL later this year despite the ICC taking it's time to decide on the T20 World cup in October.

"The BCCI is working on all possible options to ensure that we are able to stage the IPL this year, even if it means playing the tournament in empty stadiums. The fans, franchisees, players, broadcasters, sponsors and all other stakeholders are keenly looking forward to the possibility of IPL being hosted this year," president Ganguly wrote in a letter.

With this, we can understand that BCCI can only stage the IPL in India after the monsoon. Although no particular time has been given, mostly it will be conducted before September. Seems like a positive news amid these dull times as millions of people have been desperately waiting to witness this epic cricket tournament.
