Geeta returns India from Pak after 15 Years
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Oct 2015 4:14 AM GMTGeeta, the deaf and mute Indian girl, who accidentally crossed over the border & got stranded in Pakistan for around 14 to 15 years will return to India on Monday (October 26th) at 10.30 am. She boarded the Pakistan International Airlines flight in Karachi to reach Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi Today.
About 5 Members of Edhi Foundation will be accompanying Geeta. It was this foundation which took care of the girl all these years in Pakistan.
Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit will be hosting a reception for Geeta and Edhi Foundation Members Today evening.
Geeta will be handed over to her parents by Indian Government only after carrying out DNA Tests to verify with the facts. Janardhan Mahato (Geeta's Father) claims confidence on passing the test.
The Indian Girl was found by Pakistan Security Forces at the border in the year 2001.
