GHMC Elections: A Tense Situation Aroused After Telangana Minister's Convoy Was Attacked

The aggressive and high intense election campaign by the leading political parties for the local body polls didn't help in increasing the polling percentage. The polls started with a very slow start.
Reports claimed that during the initial two hours just a mere 4.2 percent voting percentage was recorded. By lunch hour, 18.2 percent of voters have exercised their vote right.
While the voting percentage is raising many concerns, in many wards the leaders and activists indulged in fights. Police had to intervene to see that the polling goes smoothly.
One such ugly fight took place between TRS and BJP leaders. The BJP leaders alleged that TRS leaders are distributing money to the voters at a polling booth near Kukatpally.
Things escalated quickly and the BJP leaders attacked Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar's convoy. The attack took place near the Forum Sujana Mall in which the car glass of the Minister's vehicle was broken.
The other day, the convoy of Telangana BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar was attacked by the TRS leaders. A car that belongs to the state chief was damaged. A police case was registered and the investigation is underway.
