GHMC Mayoral election sheds lights on TRS-AIMIM Friendship!

The much-awaited Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections for Hyderabad was conducted today. The newly elected Corporators have elected the Mayor and Deputy Mayors after their oath-taking ceremony.
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) which was restricted to 56 divisions in the GHMC elections has won both Mayor and Deputy seats with the help of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
TRS party winning the posts has once again proved the strategic friendship between TRS and AIMIM. Both the parties which locked horns with each other have joined hands in the Mayoral elections.
The BJP Corportaors have raised slogans when the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has won the seats with the help of AIMIM. The AIMIM Corporators have supported the candidates proposed by the TRS.
Vijayalakshmi, TRS Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao, aka KK’s daughter was fielded as GHMC Mayor by the TRS. Tanaka Corporator Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy was nominated as Deputy Mayor.
The candidates nominated by the TRS have marched on an easy win in the GHMC elections with the help of AIMIM. Both the candidates have defeated the candidates fielded by the BJP.
The GHMC Mayor elections added support to the BJP claims of strategic friendship between TRS and AIMIM. Both the parties rubbished the claims before the elections, but the parties supported each other in winning the first lady of Hyderabad.
The Telangana wing of BJP took the opportunity to slam the TRS for its friendship with the AIMIM party. Let us wait and see, how the ruling party responds to the criticism.
