The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic continues to ring danger bells across the world. Compared to other nations Europe is facing the wrath of the pandemic as the second wave of the virus has hit the continent severely.

As a result of the second wave of the virus, several hospitals in the continent were filling up with the pandemic patients. On top of that, the fatalities related to Covid-19 are flooding adding more problems.

To curb the rising infections, many countries in the continent have announced lockdowns and restrictions in the dense population regions. However, infections continue to rise.

The health experts are expressing their concerns over restaurants offering dining services despite the emergence of the second-wave. They have warned the authorities to see that the dining services are shut.

On the other hand, the United States continues to be the severely affected nation with Covid-19 as more than one lakh cases have been reported for a few days since the US presidential elections.

Globally, as many as 6,45,661 fresh cases were reported on Friday. The new addition of cases pushes the total caseload to a whopping 5,37,21,389.

The data collected by the Johns Hopkins University has stated that 9860 patients have succumbed to the virus on Friday alone, while a total of 13,08,483 patients lost their lives to the pandemic.

Including 1,77,772 fresh infections, the United States toll of cases mounted to 1,10,58,308, while 2,49,945 patients have succumbed to the respiratory disease so far.
