Shamshabad Airport is considered as one the best in India. GMR shot to ultimate fame with the standards it followed for the construction of this airport. Seeing this airport, several countries are approaching GMR to construct top class airports in their country.
Philippines recently handed $700 million worth airport project to GMR group. Adding to this, Andhra Pradesh too is need of one more international airport. The recent bifurcation created a new opportunity to GMR group. Seemandhra politicians are demanding international standard airport and GMR group can handle such a high profile project.
Hence, apart from Philippines project, GMR is going to bag the regional international airport project too. If this happens, GMR will be in extreme pressure as it is trying to allocate maximum time and energy towards international projects. Analysts are expecting GMR group to double its intake of employees to satisfy these projects.
