It's been an old sentiment that whichever party that wins maximum seats in East and West Godavari districts will form the Government. Municipal and Corporation Polls results for Seemandhra showed TDP is likely to emerge as the winner in General Elections 2014.
Municipal Polls 2014:
East Godavari: TDP - 169; YSR Congress - 80; Congress - 4; Left Parties - 1; Others - 10.
West Godavari: TDP - 172; YSR Congress - 47; Congress - 0; Left Parties - 0; Others - 18.
In Rajahmundry Corporation (50) as well, TDP won maximum corporators (34) and the rest of the 16 have been shared by YSR Congress (8), Congress (1) and Others (7).
