In that way, The Champion Player silenced all those who doubted whether if she will be able to maintain that standards after winning Olympic Silver Medal.
On Tuesday, Sindhu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and showed the Gold Medal she brought from Basel. Modi responded, 'India's pride, a champion who has brought home a Gold and lots of glory! Happy to have met PV Sindhu. Congratulated her and wished her the very best for her future endeavours'.
Chief National Coach Pullela Gopichand who was the former coach of Sindhu, Her current coach Kim Ji Hyun and a former South Korean Player who sharpened her attacking play have accompanied PV Sindhu when she went to meet PM Modi. Even Sindhu's Father PV Ramana, an Arjuna Awardee, was also present.
Before meeting PM, PV Sindhu, her Father, Pullela Gopichand and Kim Ji Hyun had a breakfast meeting with the Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. The Union Minister presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh for her historic achievement in Basel.
