Good News For Eateries in AP, Work Hours Extended!
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Jun 2022 12:30 PM GMTThe Covid outbreak changed the way the world functions. People started fearing having food outside. Seeing the increase in the Covid pandemic spread, the union government urged the states and union territories to reduce the timing of the eateries as a precautionary measure.
As the Covid virus is not that severe, the Union government recently directed the states and union territories to see if they want to make any changes to the existing timing of various eateries in their respective regions. Compared to earlier, the cases are being reported in fewer numbers and the virus spread has diluted.
As a result, the Andhra Pradesh government issued key orders allowing various eateries in the state to function for longer hours than earlier. As per the orders, the hotels, restaurants, and eateries across the state can now function till midnight in the state.
However, the bars and restaurants cannot change their timings and they should function as per their existing timings. Orders were issued by the state's Special Chief Secretary to this effect. The orders were issued the other day by the state government.
The government issued the orders after the owners of a few eateries reportedly met the government to look into their request. Andhra Pradesh Hoteliers Association and a few other bodies met the Andhra Pradesh leaders reportedly.
