Government Employees Leader Meets Bandi Sanjay
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Dec 2020 3:35 AM GMTIs a key employees leader of the state government trying to join the BJP in Telangana? Will this cause a shift in the loyalty of the employees of the secretariat in Hyderabad? Will this leader resign his post and contest in the Khammam Municipal Corporation elections as a BJP candidate?
High profile government gazetted officers union leader Eluru Srinivasa Rao's recent meeting with BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay has raised hackles in the TRS. The party is worried by this development. Rao is from Khammam and there are reports that the BJP might ask him to contest as the party's mayoral candidate in the upcoming Khammam municipal corporation elections. Already, his relations with the TRS have soured and the party has been harassing him by frequently transferring him from one place to another as punishment. If he resigns and joins the BJP, he could hit the prospects of the TRS not just in Khammam but also among the government employees across Telangana.
Rao wanted to resign his job in 2018 itself and wanted to contest as a Congress candidate from Khammam district. However, that plan did not succeed and he remained in the job. He is currently in touch with Bandi Sanjay and may contest on behalf of the party.
