Usually, Governors will be replaced whenever a new Government was formed at the Centre. Contrary to the trend, ESL Narasimhan managed to continue as Governor of Telugu States during UPA and NDA Regime. He remains loyal to whichever party is in power at the Centre and that really worked for him.
Chief Ministers would hardly get the appointment of PM Narendra Modi for 45 minutes. Most of times, The meeting lasts for just 15-odd minutes. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was denied PM's appointment for two years. Recently, Telangana CM KCR had cut short his Delhi tour after PMO turned down appointment.
Much to everyone's shock, PM Modi has given 1 hour appointment for Governor of Telugu States to discuss about the political developments. Prime Minister inquired about the welfare schemes implemented in AP & Telangana, KCR's Rythu Bandhu & Farmers Insurance Schemes, and impact of AP Govt's Unemployment Allowance on the people.
This Meeting has sent an indication that PMO has been offering more prominence to Governor than CMs of Telugu States.
