Governor Once Again Embarrases TRS Govt

It seems Governor Tamilisai Saundararajan has scored another point over the State Government in Telangana. Even as the TRS government is being blamed for mishandling the rains and flood situation across Telangana and especially in the GHMC area, the Governor went a step ahead and asked the citizens to donate liberally for the rehabilitation of the flood affected people.
On Thursday, the Governor gave a call for philanthropy to help the flood ravaged areas and the people. Soon, several organisations came forward to donate. The Indian Red Cross Society, Association for the disabled, Manideep Charitable Trust and others have announced donations and handed over cheques to the Governor. A hospital management has come forward to treat the people injured in the floods free of cost. As of now, the TRS government has only asked the Centre to give Rs 5000 crore for relief activities.
Earlier too, the Governor has embarrassed the TRS by organising Praja Durbars. She visited the corona treatment centres personally to take stock of the treatment procedures. She has also time and again criticised the TRS government's handling of the Covid control measures. This has led to a friction between the Governor and the State Government.
