Governor reveals why Sasikala's swearing-in delayed!
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Feb 2017 5:30 AM GMTTamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao broke his silence over the delay behind the swearing-in ceremony of VK Sasikala Natarajan as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He informed it's not a good idea to call Sasikala for swearing-in ahead of the Supreme Court judgement in the disproportionate assets case.
Vidyasagar Rao opined: 'An individual who isn't a member of Assembly should be elected to the House within six months after being named as CM. If SC verdict goes against Sasikala, She can't contest the polls anytime soon'.
Governor took notice of the fact that O Panneerselvam himself propose the name of Sasikala as AIADMK Legislative Party Leader. Now, Panneerselvam claims he was forced to resign by Sasikala's Camp. Governor opined the situation in Tamil Nadu isn't alarming as Panneerselvam continues to be caretaker CM.
The future of Sasikala Natarajan will depend on the Supreme Court verdict scheduled to arrive next week. Upon meeting both the camps in AIADMK, Governor has sent a detailed report to the centre about the extraordinary situation in Tamil Nadu.
