Tirupati Govindaraja Swamy Temple Shut With An Employee Testing Positive

Days after the Centre gave its nod to reopen the religious places and temples, an employee of the Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati tested positive for the virus resulting in the closure of the temple.
The authorities have called for the closure of the temple for two days as a precautionary measure and the temple premises will be disinfected thoroughly before getting reopened on the 14th of June.
A sanitary inspector working at the temple who was tested as a regular check-up was tested positive and the same was confirmed by the temple authorities.
He was shifted to a special hospital dedicated to treating the pandemic patient and as a result eight of the TTD employees were sent to lazaretto after they came in contact with him.
