The recently released Bollywood film "The Kashmir Files" has been in the news for various reasons. The opposition parties and a few activists alleged that the film has only one-sided narration and the facts were twisted to meet the makers' agenda. On the other side, the Right-wing groups are praising the makers for bringing out the hard truth in front of the world.

The film is slowly picking up and the collections and the shows for the films are increasing steadily. The other day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke highly about the film and alleged that a conspiracy is being made to bring the film down. Having lauded the makers, the Prime Minister urged the Ministers to watch the film.

After the PM lauded the film, a Chief Minister had announced that the government employees will be given a half-day leave if they want to watch the film. Taking to social media, the Chief Minister announced the same.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Assam had come up with a decision to provide an opportunity for the employees to watch the film. For this, they have to inform their higher authorities that they are going to watch the film. The next day, they have to submit the tickets.

The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had decided to grant leave for the employees after watching the film. He was accompanied by his Cabinet Ministers. Calling the film a hard-hitting portrayal of the exodus of Hindus in Kashmir, he urged everyone to watch the film.

"The Kashmir Files" traces the atrocities and brutality faced by the Hindus in the Kashmir valley from the Muslims. The period in which the exodus happened is called Kashmir Insurgency. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film has an ensemble cast of Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and others. Mumbai-based film production and distribution studio Zee Studios bankrolled the film which is receiving applause from all the corners.

Vivek Agnihotri donned the director's cap with crime thriller Chocolate and went to make films like Hate Story, Buddha In a Traffic Jam. His last film 'The Tashkent Files' made many heads turn.
