Employees Stunned By unchanged Tax Slabs

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley shocked the Employees by keeping the Personal Tax Slabs unchanged while presenting Union Budget 2018.
Experts predicted Centre might increase the exemption on Tax Paying to Rs 3 lakh per annum from existing Rs 2.5 per annum. However, Jaitley hasn't done any favour to the Tax Payers this time.
Finance Minister informed 5 lakh new members have joined the Tax Payers club. Which brings an additional income of Rs 90,000 crore to the Government.
A Standard deduction of Rs 40,000 for health, transport and miscellaneous expenses has been permitted. This move is intended to increase the take-home pay of 2.5 crore employees and pensioners.
