Few days ago, Telangana Government issued a GO granting hike in the ticket prices of both Single Screens and Multiplexes. This decision came as a huge relief for all the stakeholders ahead of GST roll-out. The prices are going to be like this as per the Government Order...
Single Screens: Rs 70 ticket would cost Rs 120
Multiplexes: Rs 150 ticket to cost Rs 200 for Normal Seats & Rs 300 will be charged for Recliner Seats
IMAX: Rs 250 ticket to cost Rs 300
However, Telangana Government has now withdrawn the Ticket Price Hike GO after the intervention of Chief Secretary. This development is going to be a huge blow to the Telugu Film Industry. Until now, Tax on Cinema is anywhere around 13%. The introduction GST attracts highest tax slab of 28%.
