Graduate Voters Keep Cards Close To Chest, Not Revealing Their mind

With the high-voltage campaign for the Graduate MLC constituencies drawing to a closure, the candidates and the political parties are in a fix now. They are unable to gauge the mood of the voters. The voters, who are graduates and mostly employed, are studiously silent and are not letting the candidates know their mind.

There are over 5.17 lakh voters in the Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar constituency and over 4.5 lakh voters in Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam Graduates constituency. In both the constituencies, the voters are keeping the cards close to their chest and are not revealing who they would vote for. 'The voters are saying 'yes' to every candidate who approached them. They are even attending the election meetings called by various political parties. But, whether they would vote for the candidate is very unclear. This is all very confusing,' said a candidate contesting from the Warangal-Khammam—Nalgonda constituency. As of now, allurements have begun to be bandied and the voters are said to be gleefully accepting whatever the doles and gifts that the candidates are offering.

The parties are finding it very difficult to mobilize the voters and take them to the polling booths. Serious candidates are said to be arranging transport facility to the voters. The polling would be held on March 14 and the result would be out on March 17.
