Grandma is surrogate mother for granddaughter

This was first kind of thing and took place in Chennai. A young woman had her uterus removed due to complications. After knowing that she wont have ability todeliver a baby the lady along with her mother had approached Dr. Jeyarani Kamaraj in Chennai and inquired about Surrogacy technique.
Doctor Jeyarani Kamaraj explained the process and also said that even relatives including the old lady could be surrogate mother. The old lady came forward to become surrogate mother of her own daughter.
Then doctors accepted their proposal and made the old lady as surrogate mother.They used egg belonged to the young lady and the sperm belonged to her husband.The old lady have had attained the menopause stage but the doctors restored it medically and the foetus was developed using intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
The old lady delivered a girl baby weighing 2.7 kg and the hospital has decided to honour the two women on the International Women's Day i.e on tomorrow.
